Cape Sada Lighthouse

佐田岬灯台

The closest place to the setting sun in Shikoku
The Cape Sada Lighthouse is the westernmost point of Shikoku, standing on the cliffs of the Sadamisaki Peninsula, the narrowest peninsula in Japan. You can catch a distant view of Kyushu across the Hoyo-Kaikyo on fine days, and a dazzling view of the sunset over the sea in the evenings. The lighthouse is about 20 minutes’ walk from the closest car park. Take a hike through the woodlands, feel the sunshine filtering through foliage, and look out over the blue sea with its refreshing breeze!
