Asuka-no-Yu is located near Dogo Onsen Honkan and was constructed in 2017 in the style of the Asuka period (552–645), to pay homage to the legend of Prince Shotoku’s visit to the hot springs. The interior features a mix of contemporary and traditional artworks and murals that depict different Dogo Onsen legends and stories. Its large bathing spaces have indoor and open-air baths. Guests can reserve a private bath with an adjoining rest area, similar in style to the facilities of the Yushiden in Dogo Onsen Honkan that are reserved for the Imperial family. On the second floor is a large communal relaxation hall, and five private relaxation rooms, each with a different decorative theme.
